From past to present

2013-04-29:

Adding the photo descriptions for the web albums is on a hold for now. I added two instructions on the eComStation section and I added the links page. The links are not working at this moment but you can select, copy and paste them if you want.

2013-04-21:

Getting there. It is a lot of work to change all the albums. First I made screen-shots of how it should look. Then When I was almost finished I discovered that the photo's were to large and would consume a lot of space and would have a long load time. So I changed the hight to 800 pixels. Then I discovered that the albums were not consistent. Some had the alt= in the thumbnails and others didn't. The Flora and Fauna and Vacation sections are finished now. I am working on the Cities section at this time. I will upload the albums as is, while typing this information so it can be not all is complete yet.

2013-04-15:

Today I try to make the next step for this website. Change and reorganize the web-albums. I will try to make them all the same.

2012-07-22:

Updates two photo albums.

2012-06-29:

Did not do much about the website the last year of so. Added some albums but never updated this section. Today we have a complete new menu only CSS this time. Limited the use of javascript to the date and the web-albums. The web-albums are created with JAlbum, that is; I created one album and used this to create the others. In this way all the albums have the same lay-out.

2011-02-27:

Adjusted copyright notice.

2011-02-19:

Created two photo-albums using JAlbum, Vacation January 2011 and France February 2011. Maybe I will keep using it or maybe I won't. did not made the decision yet. for now just enjoy the new albums. Let me know which style you prefer, the old style or the new style using JAlbum.

2010-10-22:

Have been away for some time. You know, too busy and not enough hours in a day. Today I have uploaded a new photo album Highlights 2010. Hope you like it.

2010-05-23:

Changed the order of the weblog. The newest changes are now in the top instead of in the bottom.

2010-03-08:

Added the Open Office 2.02 pages to the site.

2010-03-07:

Corrected a menu navigation error.

2010-03-06:

Today I have updated the OS/2 - EComStation again. This time I have added yet another program that can be used in this great operating system. I have installed Adobe Photoshop 5.5. A golden oldie but for daily tasks more than enough. Go ahead and see the results.

2010-03-05:

Updated the menu in the OS/2 - eCS section. Added pages to the Other Info sub menu. Also I have corrected a minor cosmetic error. On the album pages there was a small dot in the upper left corner. This has to doe with the unsorted and sorted lists. In a correct HTML-CSS pages you should use all tags resulting in a dot. The dot is still there I only added a #div ID to the album.css page and changed it's color the be equal to the background color. So you don't see it anymore :-).

2010-02-27:

Updated content of the Smartsuite pages.

2010-02-26:

Added a menu item for Smartsuite. Uploaded the pages for Smartsuite. For now there is no text under the screen shots. I will add the text at a later time. Lately I don't have enough time to update the website with the speed I want it to so you will have to be a little more patience :-).

2010-01-11:

After a well earned holiday and just before I go back to work I finished the Warpin and Xworkplace section. I also updated the copyright to 2010. The next couple of weeks I will spend on Lotus Smartsuite and NeoWPS. After that I would like to start working on the Indonesia section.

2009-11-07:

Added the configuration pages in the EComStation section. It took quit a while to create all the snapshots and place them in 5 html pages. Also I needed to add some text. I know there is an error somewhere and I wonder if you will find it. Since it is too much work to do it all over again I leave it as it is. The error is really not that big to discuss it further more.

2009-09-23:

Made some textual changes in the eCs tutorial pages 01 and 02. The text now describes what the picture is showing, Added text to the third page of this tutorial. Corrected some typo errors on a couple of pages.

2009-09-22:

While checking the tutorial pages today I have noticed that I made a big mistake. Many pictures had the wrong text. Today I have changed that and hopefully no it is correct. Also I noticed that the web-photo albums where not shown correctly. This was because I forgot to apply the default style-sheet to those pages.

Changed the background images to gray-scale and the copyright text to yellow. The more I use CSS the better I like it, it's so easy to adjust something in the lay-out.

2009-09-21:

Today I have uploaded the eComStation tutorials. For the installation I still need to change the text under the pictures. I have deleted the flash animation concerning the installation. You can navigate between the three html pages using the arrow keys you find at the bottom. As you can see I deleted the menu in these pages. This is because the menu disturbed the navigation.

Updated some CSS duplicates. While testing a background image on the website I found some duplicate CSS code. Funny is that in the tutorials, where I use a dark gray background I first must load a non existing background image. If I leave this line out as it should be, I end up with the default background image, which I don't want. Strange. Anyway I changed the yellow background color to a background image. Added the correct text to the first two html pages where it concerns the installation of eComStation. The last page has no text yet. (I removed the incorrect text).

2009-09-13:

Today I finally got the time to change the look and feel in the photo section. It took some time to find what I liked and to adjust it to my liking. You will miss some information that was here earlier. Don't worry it will come back. It's not gone, just not visible at this time :-).

I spend a couple of day's adjusting the way the photo's are presented, but now that I have the basics I can use this in the rest of the site. After I have restored the other web-albums (I have to do a total remake of the HTML page) I will continue with the eCs section. It's a lot of work so please be patient.

2009-05-25:

Changed the menu and added content to the OS/2-eComStation section. Added a background color on the photo albums. I removed this to see the effect but I found the text underneath to disturbing and therefor I re-added a background color. Changed the tag's in this page from ID to Class to validate the XHTML 1.0 standard. For the fun of it added the validation links :-).

Made a minor change to the header image. Merged the menu.css file into the main AI-productions.css file. Removed the menu.css file after testing the functionality of the menu trough the website. Removed all double information in all other .css files. ( Each page uses an own .css file due to different background image ).

Now the second .css file only contains information that really is needed for that web-page.

2009-05-21:

Redesigned the menu. From now on it's possible to navigate this site using only the menu. It took a while to find something on the internet like this and to adjust it to my needs. I found inspiration on www.brainjar.com for the menu. Also I added a picture to the head section. At first this was not working at all but now it is in place.

2009-05-17:

Added content to the OS/2 eCS section.

2009-04-19:

Added a slide-show and photo's from pictures taken everywhere in Holland.

2009-04-07:

Corrected the positioning of the content text in the web-log page so it's aligned with the date. Changed the color for the date. Changed the text on the welcome page and added some text on Arthur's page.

2009-04-06:

At first I used a table to organize the web-log page. Coming to the end of the page I noticed an error. The table continued as expected but the page did not extend. Therefore I removed the table from this page and started to log the way it is now. In this case the page will extend when reaching the end of the predefined area.

2009-04-04:

Updated the video and photo page with slide-show and photo's from our visit to some green-houses. Updated the email address in the slide-shows.

2009-04-02:

Updated the My Creations page with one more photo I found in a dusty corner on my network. Created email account for the website and adjusted the email address in the contact page. Also updated the slide-show with this photo.

2009-03-31:

Notification: This website is not shown correctly on IE7 or earlier, this is due to wrong implementation by MS and has nothing to do with the design of this website. It's only since version 8 of MS's IE that it confirms the original standards. I recommend that you use Firefox instead.

2009-03-30:

Checked all pages CSS with http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator" and all pages XHTML with http://validator.w3.org/check. All pages checked OK!. Added some content to the video section of this site. Updated the photo page with a new album and added a new slide-show to the video page.

2009-03-29:

Corrected CSS and XHTML errors. Changed content font-size to 14px and color to blue so it is more readable. Adjusted background images one more time because I found the text not readable enough. Corrected the contact page. Looking deeper into this page I found the form tag was in the wrong place and there was no /form to close the form.

2009-03-28:

Created a frame to display photo's. Added content to the photo page. Added content to the main page.

2009-03-23:

Contact page created (is not working yet). Added menu items and created sub pages for these menu items. Corrected wrong placement of date on sub pages. Made the background images less prominent.

2009-03-22:

Initial start. Default layout and menu created, color-scheme created, some sub-pages predefined. ai-productions.css is main css. For each page I make a copy from this style-sheet where I have adjusted the background image tot the new page. Renamed the style-sheet to the corresponding page. Created background images for all sub pages. Web-log page created and log-start. Java-script created to show the date, date added to all pages.
